Redeemer City to City is having its first ever North American conference this October 18 – 20 in Chicago. And you are invited!
The Gospel and our Cities: Chicago 2018 is designed to encourage and equip pastors, church planters, city leaders, and the general public to minister the gospel effectively in their cities. The conference looks fantastic and I highly recommend it.
Why do we need this? Because, as Tim Keller notes in the invitation video below, God loves cities. And so the church ought to love cities and seek their welfare. But we cannot do this effectively unless we are equipped with the motivation, mindsets, connections, and tools.
This conference is unique not only in its focus on cities, but also in its focus on gospel movements. The ultimate aim of the Gospel and Our Cities conference is to help build momentum for gospel movements throughout North America’s cities.
So this isn’t just about your own personal equipping. It’s about enabling you to join together with others to build momentum for a movement of the gospel in your city.
By coming to this conference, you will be able to:
- Join leaders in North American cities from different denominations, traditions, and theological backgrounds.
- Meet networks that start churches in cities to reach those who don’t yet believe.
- Apply the gospel to your own heart and ministry and learn how to be involved with others across your city.
There will be more than 50 keynote and breakout session speakers, including Timothy Keller, Trillia Newbell, Carl Ellis, Robert Guerrero, and David Kim. Main sessions will also include worship, video testimonies, and panel discussions. Topics include church planting, urban renewal, cities, faith and work, justice, church renewal, and more.
The time is now to join together in raising up regional fellowships of like-minded churches, leaders, and Christ followers, to ignite a movement of Gospel renewal throughout our urban centers.
