How to Know What’s Best Next

Here’s one way. It’s not the most important. But following up on our posts from yesterday and the day before, one significant way to know what’s best to do next is to ask this question:

“Which one thing, if I accomplished it, would result in the greatest number of all these other things that I also want to do also getting done as a result?”

I think your “level of focus” is key here. In your previous post, you mentioned not directly working on the activities but accomplishing the *point* behind them. The real issue is how you define what the point is. There are multiple layers to this: life purpose, annual goals, weekly projects, daily tasks, etc. You can probably look at the point of your task from multiple horizons in this way. This could greatly affect how you decide which activity will accomplish the point behind the others.
Maybe I’m just overthinking things, haha.
