Or another way to put it is that leadership deals with where you are going, and management deals more with how to get there.

Or, leadership rallies people to a better future, and management speeds up the reaction between each employee&#039;s talents and the company&#039;s goals. That&#039;s the distinction Marcus Buckingham makes in his book _The One Thing You Need to Know_, and it&#039;s the best I&#039;ve read on the subject.

A lot more could be said on this, as the difference between management and leadership is a big discussion. But that&#039;s how I&#039;d try to define the difference in a few words.</description>
